Mums' Lil Westies  of the Ross Family Farm
"Every family needs a Westie and a Mums to let you have one."
Meet My Westies!
Each month I add new pictures to  help you understand why I say,
"
Every family needs a Westie and a Mums to let you have one!" They will win your heart and you
will want another one.  They are great family pets and  wonderful companions.
Here I am walking (trying to walk) all four. As they
have gotten older, I take two at  a time or Paw Paw
helps me.  They love walks, especially to pick up
sticks.  Jessie always gets the best stick, then we have
a little quarrel to take it from her. It is a daily
routine.  Jessie does not know who is boss of the pack
yet!
All Westies love digging in
your yard and sitting on your
best antique rug, Willie is no
exception.
Katie's first night in her
new crate.  She was used to
living in a kennel with other
dogs and pooping at will.
She became crate trained in
one week.  OOOH ,isn't she
smart!  We are so glad we
added her to our crew.
Willie at his lookout post
on a nice day!  Nice
because I got to dig a
little! (See his nose!)
Willie gets his picture taken
more because he is soooooo self
confident!  No small measure
of self esteem here!  He is a
good looking Westie and will
add a lot to our ladies when
they are ready to breed!  He is
so loveable, good natured and
smart! Look at those eyes!!!
Katie always takes a dip in the water bowl!, We conserve
the water from the air conditioner!
"It feels so good on my tootsies, Mums!"
2008. They have grown so much, be sure to look at their
pages with their puppies!
Mums' Lil Lady Ollie has really blossomed.
Her hair is straight and hard, just like a
Westie should be.  She is extremely obedient,
too - which is learned, not instinct!  She will
be a good mums to her babies!
Do you wonder how I tell them
apart?  Jessie's jaw is broader
and her hair is a little wavier!
I'm not certain, but I think
that is because I groomed her
with a clipper, instead of the
rake, I now use on all the
puppies!

Sitting is easy, if you have a little encouragement!
Bitsy likes treats, too!  I use broken up granola
bars- the oat and honey kind. My grandchildren
are taught to handle and discipline the dogs as well.
It is necessary to have well mannered children
around puppies and all dogs.  Willie and Lexi, my
granddaughter, won a best puppy contest with this
picture.
"Now what can I do next?"
Ollie, Willie, and Jessie  calling the HOGs! (7
months)
Emmy , Lexi's sister, uses the same
technique with 4 year old Bitsy. Maybe
you can " teach an old dog new tricks"!
Willie, below, sure learned his quick!  Of
course, a treat was waiting!
Who's that hiding behind the
bushes?  If you guessed Willie,
you are right!
September, 2006  The trees will be turning in the River Valley before we know it.  What a beautiful time to visit
Arkansas.  The Razorbacks play their first game of the season this Labor Day
weekend.  All the Lil Westies are calling
the Hogs.....OOOOOOpig sooie,  Go Razorbacks!
